Description

Quattrini C1 crankcase for Vespa Special, Et3 and PK entirely cast and machined in Italy. They are reinforced in thickness in every part, made in shell with hardened Galsi9 material and assembled with 13 6mm Allen screws. On the flywheel side they are machined to accommodate the Vespatronik ignition and at the top they are prepared for mounting mufflers that turn behind the shock absorber (type M3XC, Type R or similar). At the front there is a centrally located reed valve holder spacious enough to accommodate a large reed valve (slightly smaller than the M1L 09). Originally it is cast closed, however, it can be opened to fit cylinders without intake. The support arm is much stronger than the original and is shaped to allow the use of a 3.50/10 tyre. They are also fitted with a support for the water pump, which takes its movement from the gearbox quad (third gear). The wide and thick crankcase is made to accommodate various types of cylinders of the M, R or other makes, without welding. Inside, the pump casing is machined to mount its dedicated full-shouldered shaft, with a 48mm long coupling axle, 20-52-15mm main bearings (part number 6304/c4) and 20-35-7mm oil seals, both removable from the outside. For all other components (gearbox, wheel hub, selector, etc.) original parts can be fitted.
