Description

The BGM 200cc cylinder is a further improved version of the already reliable and powerful original cylinder. Compatible with the 200cc engines of the Rally200, PX200 and Cosa200 models, the bgm cylinder offers greater safety and performance thanks to a precise bore for a tolerance of 9/100 as well as a slightly higher compression due to a reduction in height of about 0.7mm. The cylinder therefore has more power and less consumption than the original. The cylinder is used with the original cylinder head and is already equipped with piston, clip, piston pin and cylinder base gasket. You can always use the exhaust manifold of the original cylinder (screwed on). HINT: it can be used perfectly with a crankshaft with a 60 mm long stroke by fitting a 1.5 mm spacer for the cylinder head. Depending on the muffler in use, without any further modifications the cylinder already achieves between 13 and 14 hp at the rear wheel. The opening angle for the intake is approx. 120° and for the exhaust is approx. 170°. Please note: The cylinder cannot be used on engines with electric starters unless modifications have been made first as the flywheel sprocket rubs against the cylinder. The original Piaggio cylinders have less material, whereas in this case the BGM cylinder can be modified to avoid friction with the flywheel: it is therefore sufficient to chamfer the surface concerned by 1-2 mm. Alternatively, it is also possible to remove the flywheel gear and use a flywheel without an electric starter. With a lighter flywheel the engine becomes much more powerful (we recommend a 1.8-2.3kg flywheel).
