BGM PRO 177/187 cc (piston made by Meteor)- Vespa PX125, PX150, Cosa125, Cosa150, GTR125, TS125, Sprint Veloce (VLB1T 0150001-) The BGM PRO 177 cylinder is made of hard ceramic-coated aluminium with a bore of 63 mm. The coating (nickel-silicon carbide) ensures an extremely hard and durable liner. The piston's high silicon content ensures low thermal expansion, high wear resistance and very considerable thermal stability. Two 1 mm thick piston rings reduce friction to a minimum, benefiting power and speed stability. The cylinder channel with four main ports and two boost ports is designed to exert high pressure at low speeds. With a 57 mm stroke we have a 118° intake timing and a 171° exhaust timing. The cylinder kit is designed as a plug & play solution, simple to fit with SI carburettor and BGM Big Box Touring, power is around 15 hp and torque is 17-19 Nm at the rear wheel. With further upgrading steps, 25 hp is reached and no more problems. The low consumption and relatively high flow rate are an added bonus. The cover can be easily removed to take advantage of the entire channel section. The cylinder head is CNC machined solid. To ensure perfect centring, the combustion chamber is located in the cylinder at a depth of 4 mm. In addition, squish adjustment is greatly facilitated and sealing is constantly guaranteed.
