BGM PRO 177/187 cc (piston made by Meteor) - Vespa PX125, PX150, Cosa125, Cosa150, GTR125, TS125, Sprint Veloce (VLB1T 0150001-) The BGM PRO 177 cylinder is made of aluminium coated with hard ceramic and has a bore of 63 mm. The coating (nickel-silicon carbide) guarantees an extremely hard and resistant jacket. The high silicon content of the piston ensures low thermal expansion, high wear resistance and excellent thermal stability. Two 1 mm thick piston rings minimise friction, improving power and speed stability. The cylinder channel with four main ports and two boost ports is designed to exert high pressure at low speeds. With a stroke of 57 mm, we have a transfer timing of 118° and an exhaust timing of 171°. The cylinder kit is designed as a plug & play solution, easy to install with SI carburettor and BGM Big Box Touring, with power of around 15 hp and torque of 17-19 Nm at the rear wheel. With further tuning, 25 hp can be achieved without any problems. Low fuel consumption and high flow rate are an added bonus. The cover can be easily removed to access the entire section of the channels. The cylinder head is CNC machined. To ensure perfect centring, the combustion chamber is located in the cylinder at a depth of 4 mm. This also makes squish adjustment much easier and ensures a constant seal.
