Even the Vespa PX, the classic scooters, sometimes needs a little more panache. And on top of a classic two-stroke engine the most obvious and simple changes that can be done is the addition of an expansion muffler. Here is what the Malossi engineers have designed from scratch an exhaust system specifically designed for the good old Vespa PX, with the aim of immediately making it more powerful and enjoyable but not at distorting the timeless line of Piaggio scooters. It seems the most classic "pans" but all the new features and improvements are hidden under the skin. To get the best from this expansion and to allow lil mounting on all Wasps, the new collector has been designed to be able to adapt to all thermal units currently on the market for this Vespa, from the original cylinder at the most powerful of the Malossi range. It is precisely the collector, with its shape, to connect to the better the flow of the exhaust gases from the cylinder to the muffler body thus ensuring a considerable increase in performance. The muffler body, from the characteristic expansion form, has been specially designed to ensure maximum performance combined with the exercise of roundness. From the minimum to the maximum of revolutions the effect of flue gas suction generated by this component it is maximized. Finally we have the traditional pan. This component has been designed for the express purpose of being identical to the original in order to be totally discreet. Inside, however, we have been created two chambers separated by a bulkhead so as to optimize to the maximum the correct expansion of the exhaust gases, however, minimizing the noise of the muffler.
