Description

BGM AC/DC rectifier for charging 12V batteries for Vespa compact voltage regulator for electronic ignitions. Regulator provides AC and DC. It is the ideal replacement for all Ducati 3-pin and 5-pin controllers, as well as for Vespatronic and Variotronic regulators. AC-CA (alternating current): input (IN) connected to the stator and output (OUT) connected to the wiring and regulated power supply. Sense function: the AC input and output are bridged via the connector supplied with the controller. On the sense line (bridge), the output voltage is compared with a constant reference voltage, ensuring that the load does not fluctuate. DC (direct current) output for battery charging. High power outputs will also directly supply various equipment such as GPS, water pump, rev counter, speedometer and all sorts of other gadgets. Earth (ground): can be taken from the former governor. If the connection is not available, it must be created by connecting the output to the scooter chassis. The metal part must be chosen as bare earth and therefore free of any paint or insulation. Ideally, the regulator body should be connected to earth. Connection to the existing beam is easy. For systems running entirely on alternating current (AC), simply connect the AC output lead supplied with the equipment. For systems operating on both AC and DC, simply connect the corresponding AC and DC output leads.
