We refer to them collectively as engine bearings. All have minimal friction values and therefore produce little heat, require less lubrication and are virtually maintenance-free. The only things that can reduce their service life are contamination, a heavier than average workload or a lack of adequate lubrication with a suitable oil. The harder the track is or the higher the mileage an engine has reached, the more often the engine bearings need to be replaced. We recommend replacing the engine bearings during every major engine service or every 10,000 km (6,250 miles). Most of the engine bearings we have available are PIAGGIO OE parts and, in order to expand our range, we also have most types of bearings available, which we purchase directly from various manufacturers.
