Description

high-performance clutch for large Vespas, designed to withstand engines with over 40 hp. Compatible only with 6-7 spring clutch gears.This 05/2015 clutch was designed using 3D design software, with each component designed in an assembly study. Every part of the clutch is completely new and sized to be easily installed without interfering with other parts of the engine. Also compatible with recent Vespa PX models with mixer. The CMX is defined as a reverse clutch, as the basket is integral with the gear (pinion). This technical choice allows the basket (commonly known as the bell) to remain stationary when the clutch is pulled (clutch release). Thanks to this reversal of the moving parts, the clutch becomes very progressive in the initial thrust of the Vespa, minimising any annoying jerks when starting (a problem known to older clutches). This feature, together with the large contact points of the friction discs and conductive discs, makes the CMX an ideal clutch for engines with power ratings above 15 hp, preventing premature wear caused by the hammering of the parts in contact. The bushing is interchangeable with the original Piaggio bushing on a hardened steel bushing. Conical lock nut and push plate with bearing.The conical nut must be tightened to 50-55 Nm.
