Description

The BGM 200cc cylinder is a further improved version of the already reliable and powerful original cylinder. Compatible with the 200cc engines of the Rally200, PX200 and Cosa200 models, the BGM cylinder offers greater safety and performance thanks to a precise bore with a tolerance of 9/100 and slightly higher compression due to a reduction in height of approximately 0.7mm. The cylinder therefore has more power and lower fuel consumption than the original. The cylinder is used with the original cylinder head and is already equipped with piston, clip, pin and cylinder base gasket. The original cylinder exhaust manifold (screwed on) can still be used. TIP: It can be used perfectly with a 60mm long-stroke crankshaft by fitting a 1.5mm spacer for the cylinder head. Depending on the exhaust used, the cylinder already achieves a power output of between 13 and 14 hp at the rear wheel without any further modifications. The opening angle for the transfer is approximately 120°, while for the exhaust it is approximately 170°. Please note: the cylinder cannot be used on engines with electric start unless modifications have been made first, as the flywheel ring gear rubs against the cylinder. The original Piaggio cylinders have less material, while in this case the BGM cylinder can be modified to avoid friction with the flywheel: simply chamfer the affected surface by 1-2mm. Alternatively, it is also possible to remove the flywheel gear and use a flywheel without electric start. With a lighter flywheel, the engine becomes much more powerful (we recommend a flywheel weighing 1.8-2.3 kg).
