Machining: on high-precision numerically controlled machine tools. Recalculated and increased heat exchange surfaces. Exhaust and transfer ducts designed and tuned for maximum thermodynamic efficiency. Dimensional checks on shape and roughness according to Malossi standards. 100% piston-cylinder fit in selections of 0.010-0.005 mm. 100% hydraulic seal check. Piston: Material: special aluminium alloy with high silicon content and low thermal expansion. Machining: on numerically controlled machines. Lightened and reinforced. Increased heat exchange surfaces. Segments: High mechanical strength spheroidal cast iron segments. Head: Material: special die-cast aluminium alloy. Recalculated and increased heat exchange surface geometry. Machined on super-precise numerically controlled machines with diamond tools. Anti-oxidant surface treatment. Compression seal with Viton gasket. Hemispherical combustion chamber with squish and spark plug in the centre.
