VMC X1 casing for Vespa Small Frame mod. ROTARY VALVE The evolution of tuning in the Vespa world is constantly evolving, and VMC has also decided to produce specific casings for Vespa Small Frame that can accommodate the most powerful thermal kits with increased displacement available on the market. VMC has designed and manufactured engine cases that meet these requirements, creating the VMC X1 engine cases. The VMC X1 Vespa Smallframe engine cases are made of aluminium alloy, cast in sand moulds, CNC machined in Italy and checked for dimensions with high-precision instruments. Compared to Piaggio crankcases and semi-standard aftermarket versions, VMC crankcases feature technical improvements that place them at a higher level and make them the essential choice for those who want a safe product made by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. VMC X1 engine crankcases have the following technical features: - innovative removable gear cable tie fixing system which, combined with our gear cable sleeves with external tie rods, speeds up engine change and gear cable tension adjustment - increased wall thickness for greater resistance to mechanical stress - a very wide cylinder support base with plenty of material underneath, allowing for very generous transfer dimensions - 64.5 mm bored cylinder inlet for mounting 60 mm diameter, 144 cc Vmc cylinders without the need for further machining - rotary valve in the crank chamber extended on both sides compared to the standard to increase the intake phases without altering the balance of the engine shafts - crank chamber boring on both sides of the crank with a diameter of 89.50 mm and central connecting rod passage of 92.00 mm, allowing the installation of 89 mm diameter solid shoulder crankshafts, eliminating the rotary valve seat. - Crankcase closure with 13 M6 Allen screws instead of the classic stud bolts and semi-crankcase centring with 2 ground pins - Material has been removed from the gear selector area to allow the installation of gear selectors with larger links - Seat for flywheel side bearing with seat diameter 47 as on the Piaggio 50 Special and 125 Primavera ET3 versions - The engine arm has a chamfer that allows wide tyres such as 3.50 x 10 to be fitted - All standard components that fit in Piaggio engine casings can be fitted in Vmc casings In Vmc casings, the ignition stator plate must be filed in the transfer area before assembly as the crankcase is larger
