10" to 8" drum conversion kit, rear with closed rim, for Vespa 125 V1-33/VM/VN/ACMA/Hoffmann/VNA/VNB/Super/150 VL/VB/VBA/VBB/Super/P150S, with PX engine incl. drum, brake pads, dust cover, adapter When we talk about wideframes, we mean the first Vespa models: Vespa 125 V1-33/VM/VN/150 VL/VB1/VD/VGL1. An original wideframe is only suitable for long-distance riding to a limited extent. It is simply too slow. Optimising a wideframe is not easy, however. The cost associated with installing a PX T5 or engine in a wideframe is reasonable, however. The advantages of such a conversion: Electronic ignition, 20-30 HP possible, high top speed and cruising speed achievable, low maintenance. To give an installed PX 8" engine a 10" brake drum, we offer this conversion kit. The dust cover supplied must be exchanged and the drum brake attachment simply connected. When converting to a PX engine, depending on the model, minor modifications may be necessary to the frame (in the carburettor area), on the side panel and on cylinders above 125 in the area of the lower side of the cylinder head at the outlet level. During installation, an additional adapter is required for the engine swing arm. The electronics must be converted to low 12V maintenance ignition. In addition to this, the conversion wiring, brake/switch and voltage regulator are all required. The upper shock absorber adapter positions the PX shock absorber in the wideframe. Conclusion: an excellent conversion, effective and often completed.
