Digital speedometer and rev counter 2.0 for Vespa PX 125/150/200 Arcobaleno - Millenium - also suitable for Vespa GTV/GT 60 125-300cc. Since its introduction in 2010, the SIP rev counter has revolutionised the classic scooter speedometer market. Features that previously required additional instrumentation have now been integrated into its design with maximum discretion. Several years and countless customer requests culminated in us reuniting with the folks at KOSO to develop an upgrade to our first-generation SIP Rev counter that we can be truly proud of: the SIP Rev / Speedometer 2.0! Its exterior appearance remains strikingly similar to that of the original item, and its additional features are virtually invisible when not in use. Even the design of the speedometer dial is largely identical to that of the Italian original, with a kilometre scale and the same overall dimensions as the unit. These speedometers are available with a coloured surface in either white or black. In addition, the version available for old-school VBB Vespa models can also be ordered in beige/white, providing an authentic sun-bleached look. Installation couldn't be easier and requires no special knowledge. It is capable of measuring speed with the traditional speedometer cable and drive assembly or, alternatively, with the inclusion of the electronic wheel sensor kit, available separately. The speedometer function can no longer be interrupted due to faults in the speedometer drive worms or cables, and accuracy is also improved. The rpm value is determined through its connection to the light signal provided by the wiring harness. All data recorded by the device is saved for future reference by an internal storage function. The unit operates on 12 V AC/DC and does not require batteries in the scooter's electrical system. It is also fully compatible with Vespatronic and Parmakit high-performance ignition systems. A small button is included to adjust and scroll through the functions on the electronic display, which can be easily and inconspicuously positioned under the existing light switch of the scooter. An attractive feature: during the ignition sequence, the speedometer performs a complete functional check, similar to current high-tech GP racing machines. A new feature of version 2.0 is the choice between an analogue speedometer or a rev counter. The speedometer needle can be used to display speed or revs. On longer trips, it is also possible to record the total travel time and average speeds for both daily stages and the entire tour, which can be set individually. The total number of kilometres travelled, recorded by the original speedometer unit, can also be transferred to the km value displayed. In combination with the SIP quick-flow fuel tap with fuel reserve sensor, all Vespa models can now benefit from a fuel level warning function. To indicate the level of fuel in the tank, "FUEL" starts flashing on the electronic display. In addition, the voltage regulation of the entire electrical system is also improved. The speed values on the analogue speedometer/rev counter designed for Vespa smallframe models go up to 80. These speedometers are intended for use on Vespa V 50/PK models, which rarely reach higher speeds or engine revs. Now, at last, we can offer a high-tech alternative to the more basic reproduction speedometers that are currently available. Warning: please use interference-suppressing spark plugs and resistor caps. Conclusion: the first high-end cockpit instrument for classic Vespa models that successfully combines a speedometer and rev counter with an almost entirely original-looking component. Whether you're a racer, a racing enthusiast, a tourer or an urban cowboy, it offers advantages for everyone!
